Pest of the Week: Mice
Info to help you defend your home!
In the past week, we have had a real focus on Mice at Country Services.
With the cold weather drawing in, it is not just people who are keen to get out of the cold.
Unfortunately, when these little visitors climb through cracks and up our walls to enter our homes, they bring a wealth of problems with them.
Chewing
Rodents teeth are constantly growing, which in the wild gives them a real advantage when foraging throughout their lifespan.
When they are in our homes however, this can cause real damage. Mice chew through anything, from plastic and wood, to even the hardest objects such as cement and metal. They also chew through electric cables, causing a major fire hazard to your home.
Disease
Mice are incontinent, so wherever they go in your home a trail of urine and faeces will be left behind them.
In their waste they risk passing onto your family the plethora of diseases they can carry, from food poisoning to Weils disease.
Act Now
If you think there is any chance mice may have taken up residence in your property, don’t leave it to chance. Get this potentially dangerous problem looked into immediately.
Throughout Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and West Sussex, we protect homeowners and business alike from the dangers caused by mice.
