Moles in Winter
Protect your lawn this Winter!
The Country Services Team have had a lot of calls this weekregarding moles.
This may come as a surprise to some people, as we generally want to hide in the warm in the winter weather.
However, moles can be very active at this time of year. They move through the crisp ground, making small mounds of earth over lawns and gardens.
Mole tunnels form a network under your lawn, with the exposed mounds being just a small part of the damage.
A Growing Problem
If you don’t stay on top of the mole activity in your garden, they will continue digging their tunnels. As they expand these earthworks, the outlaying areas will be moved into by other moles who will in turn dig yet more tunnels.
Eventually the ground under your neat lawn will resemble the London Underground.
These passageways are not naturally filled in, but will remain indefinitely in place.
Get It Sorted
As more moles inevitably return to the abandoned holes, we offer an annual service to regularly check your lawn and keep on top of the problem. Preventing any further damage and numerous new mounds from appearing.
