Whats been digging up your lawn?
At this time of year it is common to see significant damage to your lawn.
Whether it is a small scratch or a massive hole it is extremely distressing to see the grass that you have spent so much time on damaged while you sleep.
There are a number of creatures that could be causing the damage, from Rabbits and Squirrels through to foxes and badgers, and in some parts of the country even Wild Boar (did you know there are wild boar in the countryside around Haslemere?).
In every case there are things that you can do to help minimise the damage and prevent further destruction of your prized turf, but before you act it is vital that you know what is causing the damage.
Badgers are strictly protected by law and anything you do that potentially harms them or their setts is a criminal offence with a maximum penalty of six months in prison along with a fine of up to £5000, and so you need to be certain that whatever is done it is done in accordance with the law.
